Meet Ms.Gtown
Hi, I’m Mazzie! I’m an Islander By Choice! I started this account in August 2022, right before heading off to my freshman year in Boston, MA. I’ve always loved this island and exploring everything it has to offer. Once I came up with the name for this account, I was all in—it became the perfect way to share photos, create content, and challenge the idea that Galveston doesn’t have beautiful water days.
Since then, this page has grown into something I’m really proud of. I’ve graduated from college, I’ve won Best Local Instagram Feed of the Island in back-to-back years, and I regularly get the opportunity to collaborate with amazing local businesses and creatives. In the summer of 2024, I interned with Visit Galveston, where I learned from the pros who market this incredible place and discovered a real passion for tourism and destination marketing.
I love experimenting with new ideas for this brand and am so thankful for the people, places, and stories it’s connected me to along the way.
