120 Hour Marketing Internship - Summer 2024

Visit Galveston

Visit Galveston works to promote tourism within the leisure, group travel, and meetings and conventions markets. They are a division of the Galveston Park Board and funded solely by visitor-generated Hotel Occupancy Tax funds. The team works with guidance from the citizen-led Tourism Development Advisory Committee, which has members who are professionals in tourism, outdoor recreation, and arts and culture.

I worked closely with the Digital Content Strategist, Sydney Macapagal, the Senior Director of Marketing, Melody Smith, and the Assistant Director of Marketing, Julie Pippert. I created content that follows Visit Galveston’s brand identity with the intention to encourage mainlanders to come visit the island during the summertime.
